Microsoft 365 & Outlook: Setup Guide

Proxiya integrates with Microsoft Graph to read busy schedules from Microsoft 365 / Outlook Calendars, prevent overlapping bookings, and dispatch automated Microsoft Teams invitations.

Part of Proxiya’s Native Integrations Ecosystem: Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Zoom & Stripe.

1. How to Connect Microsoft Outlook & Teams

  1. Sign in to Proxiya: Log in at proxiya.com/dashboard (or sign up free at proxiya.com/signup).
  2. Open Integrations: Select Integrations from the navigation sidebar.
  3. Connect Microsoft Outlook & Teams: In the Calendar & Conferencing section, click Connect on the Microsoft card.
  4. Authorize on Microsoft: You will be forwarded to Microsoft's secure login and OAuth consent page. Sign in with your work, school, or personal Microsoft account and click Accept.
  5. Active Status: Once redirected, Proxiya shows your Microsoft connection as Connected.

2. How Microsoft Outlook & Teams Work

  • Two-Way Conflict Protection: Proxiya consults Microsoft Graph Free/Busy endpoints in real time. Any event on your Outlook calendar automatically hides those time slots on Proxiya.
  • Microsoft Teams Conferencing: In any Event Type settings, choose Microsoft Teams as the event location. Proxiya provisions a distinct Teams meeting room URL with one-click joining for every booking.
  • Outlook Calendar Dispatches: Invitee bookings generate official Outlook .ics calendar invites so attendees have full details on desktop and mobile Outlook.

3. How to Disconnect Microsoft Outlook

  1. Go to Integrations in Proxiya.
  2. Click Disconnect on the Microsoft Outlook & Teams card.
  3. Proxiya immediately removes your Microsoft Graph tokens.
  4. To revoke third-party app consent from Microsoft directly, visit Microsoft Account Consent Management (or Azure AD enterprise app permissions) and remove Proxiya.

4. Data Permissions, Enterprise Scopes & Security

  • Delegated Scopes: Proxiya uses delegated Calendars.ReadWrite and OnlineMeetings.ReadWrite permissions via Microsoft Graph OAuth.
  • Enterprise Azure AD Support: IT administrators can grant tenant-wide consent or approve Proxiya for specific organizational units.
  • Zero Private Event Storage: Proxiya only queries busy timestamp intervals; internal corporate calendar subjects and attendee rosters are never stored.

5. Troubleshooting & Support

  • • Admin Approval Required: In managed Microsoft 365 tenants, if you see “Need admin approval”, your organization administrator needs to authorize Proxiya in Entra ID / Azure AD.
  • • Support: Reach our team at support@proxiya.com or visit the Contact Page.
