Zoom: Setup, Usage & Removal Guide
Proxiya integrates with Zoom so hosts can automatically create, reschedule, and clean up unique Zoom meeting links whenever an invitee books a session.
1. How to Add & Connect Zoom to Proxiya
- Sign in to your Proxiya account: Go to proxiya.com/dashboard (or create a free account at proxiya.com/signup).
- Open Integrations: In the left sidebar, click Integrations.
- Connect Zoom: Locate the Zoom card under Video Conferencing and click Connect.
- Authorize on Zoom: You will be redirected to Zoom's secure OAuth 2.0 consent page. Review the requested permissions and click Allow.
- Confirmation: You will be redirected back to Proxiya with the Zoom card showing a green Connected badge.
2. How to Use Zoom with Proxiya Event Types
- Assign Zoom as the Event Location: Navigate to Event Types in your dashboard, edit any Event Type, and set the Location dropdown to Zoom Video.
- Automatic Meeting Link Creation: Whenever an invitee books a slot on your public booking page, Proxiya automatically creates a dedicated Zoom meeting and includes the Zoom join link in both confirmation emails and calendar events.
- Rescheduling & Cancellations: If a booking is rescheduled, Proxiya automatically updates the Zoom meeting start time and duration. If a booking is cancelled, Proxiya automatically deletes the scheduled Zoom meeting.
3. How to Disconnect & Remove Zoom from Proxiya
You can disconnect Zoom at any time using either of the following methods:
Option A: From Proxiya Dashboard
- Log in to Proxiya and go to Dashboard → Integrations.
- Click Manage / Disconnect on the Zoom card and confirm.
- Proxiya immediately deletes your encrypted Zoom OAuth access and refresh tokens from our database.
Option B: From Zoom App Marketplace
- Log in to your Zoom App Marketplace account and click Manage → Added Apps.
- Locate Proxiya and click Remove.
- Zoom notifies Proxiya's deauthorization webhook, and all associated Zoom tokens are permanently purged.
4. Data Privacy, Scopes & Support
Proxiya only requests the minimum Zoom OAuth scopes required to create, update, and delete meetings for your scheduled bookings and read your basic Zoom user profile identifier. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM and are never shared with third parties.
